Dr. Ryan Kuster received his Ph.D. in Entomology and Plant Pathology from the University of Tennessee in 2022. His dissertation research focused on the development of computational tools for analyzing and simulating metagenomics profiling using custom, short-read library preparations. Dr. Kuster’s current focus is in assisting researchers in the areas of bioinformatics analysis, custom programming and pipeline development for data analysis, and training in computational approaches to data analysis.
Izaak Miller, Ph.D.

Dr. Izaak Miller received his Ph.D. in Data Science from the University of Tennessee in 2019. His dissertation research focused on the microbial ecology of petroleum-polluted marine ecosystems. Dr. Miller works in the OIT HPSC group, supporting the work of bioinformatics researchers on UT’s cluster computing resources (e.g., ISAAC-NG).
Trevor Freeman, M.A.

Trevor Freeman received his Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022. His thesis project focused on the impact of ribosome biogenesis disruption on chromatin structure and gene expression. Trevor works for UTIA performing routine and custom bioinformatics analysis and pipeline development for groups across campus. He specializes in the areas of genomics and transcriptomics.
