Who we are

Welcome to UTK Bioinformatics Consulting Services. We are a collaborative group of genomics and bioinformatics analysts and scientific computing specialists aimed at providing a range of research support and training to faculty, staff, and students.

Our team consists of members from the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, the UTIA Genomics Center for the Advancement of Agriculture, the OIT High Performance & Scientific Computing Group and UTK Genomics Core Facility.

Our mission

The mission of UTK Bioinformatics Consulting Services is to build expertise in genomic and bioinformatic techniques in research. Our objective is to offer free and affordable training through workshops, courses, and consulting services to bolster the knowledge and research capabilities of bioinformatics researchers. This initiative supports the broader mission of the University of Tennessee, fostering collaboration and discovery. Additionally, we strive to create communication channels and promote community development among genomics and bioinformatics researchers, as well as with the OIT HPSC and related computing groups.
